Vaughan has grown fast and the number of registered acupuncturists with evening availability has not kept up. Clients from Maple, Thornhill Woods, Patterson and Woodbridge who book with Princeton Wellness Centre usually found the same thing: the nearest options were fully booked after 6pm, or the price on the website turned out to be before tax. Our acupuncture in Richmond Hill is 15 to 25 minutes east, priced with tax included, and available every day until 9:00pm.
Acupuncture at the clinic is provided by Lisa G, a registered acupuncturist and Tuina therapist with more than ten years of clinical experience. She treats the pattern behind the symptom, so a stiff neck, a weekly headache and poor sleep can be worked on in one plan instead of three separate appointments.
What Vaughan clients book acupuncture for
- Neck, shoulder and upper back tension from Highway 400 and 407 commutes and long desk hours
- Tension headaches that build through the work week
- Stress that shows up as light sleep, afternoon fatigue or a body that never fully relaxes
- Low back and hip discomfort in parents and caregivers from Thornhill Woods and Carrville
- Digestive and menstrual-cycle discomfort that clients want to address alongside their family doctor’s care
- Supportive care for Bell’s palsy after a physician’s assessment
What a first visit looks like
The first appointment begins with a conversation about your main concern, how long it has been going on, what changes it, and how you sleep and eat. Lisa may check your pulse and tongue, which are standard parts of a traditional Chinese medicine assessment. Fine, single-use needles are then placed at points chosen for your pattern and you rest for 20 to 30 minutes. Most clients describe the session as calm. Read what happens at your first acupuncture appointment for the full walkthrough.
Price, tax and insurance
A 60-minute session starts at $110, tax included. Every visit comes with an official practitioner receipt that most extended health plans accept for reimbursement. We are currently unable to accept Sun Life plans; if your coverage is through Sun Life, contact the clinic before booking.
Getting here from Vaughan
The clinic is at 11 Princeton Ave in east Richmond Hill. From Maple, Patterson and Thornhill Woods, take Major Mackenzie Drive or Rutherford Road east. From Woodbridge, Vellore Village and Kleinburg, Highway 407 to Highway 404 or Leslie Street is usually the quickest route, particularly for evening appointments.
When to see a doctor first
Acupuncture is supportive care and does not replace medical assessment. If your symptoms began with an accident, include numbness or weakness, are getting steadily worse, or you have a condition that affects how you should be treated, please consult a qualified healthcare professional first. We are happy to coordinate with your other providers.
