Thornhill is directly south of Richmond Hill, so for clients in Bayview Glen, Royal Orchard, Uplands and German Mills, Princeton Wellness Centre is one of the closest places to see a registered acupuncturist. Our acupuncture in Richmond Hill is about 10 to 15 minutes north along Bayview Avenue or Leslie Street, with tax-included pricing and appointments every day until 9:00pm.
Acupuncture is provided by Lisa G, a registered acupuncturist and Tuina therapist with more than ten years of experience. Thornhill clients tend to arrive with a cluster of related complaints rather than one isolated pain, and Lisa’s approach is built for that: the plan treats the pattern, not just the sore spot.
What Thornhill clients book acupuncture for
- Neck, shoulder and jaw tension from long screen hours in the Yonge & Steeles and Bayview & John office corridors
- Headaches that start at the base of the skull or behind the eyes and build across the week
- Stress-related sleep problems, low energy and a body that stays braced
- Low back pain and hip tightness in parents from German Mills and Thornlea
- Menstrual and digestive discomfort clients want to address alongside their family doctor
- Supportive care for Bell’s palsy following medical assessment
What to expect
Your first visit opens with a conversation about the main concern, its history, what changes it, and how you sleep and eat. Lisa may check pulse and tongue as part of a traditional Chinese medicine assessment. Single-use needles are placed at points chosen for your pattern, and you rest for 20 to 30 minutes. Most people feel a brief pinch and then settle. Our guide to your first acupuncture appointment explains the full flow.
Price, tax and insurance
A 60-minute session starts at $110, tax included. Every visit includes an official practitioner receipt that most extended health plans accept for reimbursement. We are currently unable to accept Sun Life plans; if your coverage is through Sun Life, please contact the clinic before booking.
Getting here from Thornhill
From Bayview Glen, Royal Orchard and German Mills, head north on Bayview Avenue or Leslie Street to Elgin Mills Road East. From the Yonge & Steeles corridor, take Yonge Street north to Elgin Mills and then east. The clinic is at 11 Princeton Ave, Richmond Hill, ON L4S 2E2, open every day from 8:00am to 9:00pm.
When to see a doctor first
Acupuncture is supportive care and does not replace medical assessment. If your symptoms began with an accident, include numbness or weakness, are getting steadily worse, or you have a condition that affects treatment, please consult a qualified healthcare professional first. We coordinate with other providers whenever helpful.
