Markham has plenty of clinics, but clients from Unionville, Markville, Cornell and Berczy still cross Highway 404 to see us for three reasons: the acupuncture is done by a registered acupuncturist with more than ten years of experience, the price already includes tax, and the clinic is open every day until 9:00pm. Our acupuncture in Richmond Hill is a 10 to 20 minute drive from most of Markham.
Lisa G, who provides the acupuncture, combines classical acupuncture with Tuina bodywork. That matters for the typical Markham complaint, which is rarely one thing: a tight neck, a weekly headache and poor sleep usually come together, and a single plan can address all three.
What Markham clients book acupuncture for
- Neck, shoulder and upper back tension from the Highway 7 and Warden office corridors
- Tension headaches and jaw tightness that build across the work week
- Stress that shows up as light sleep, low afternoon energy or a body that stays braced
- Low back and hip discomfort in parents from Berczy, Wismer and Greensborough
- Menstrual and digestive discomfort clients want to address alongside their family doctor’s care
- Supportive care for Bell’s palsy after a physician’s assessment
Your first visit
The appointment starts with a conversation about your main concern, its history, what changes it, and how you sleep and eat. Lisa may check your pulse and tongue, both standard in a traditional Chinese medicine assessment. Fine, single-use needles are placed at points chosen for your pattern and you rest for 20 to 30 minutes. Most clients feel a brief pinch and then settle into the session. See what happens at your first acupuncture appointment for the full walkthrough and what to do after acupuncture for aftercare.
Price, tax and insurance
A 60-minute session starts at $110, tax included. Every visit includes an official practitioner receipt that most extended health plans accept for reimbursement. We are currently unable to accept Sun Life plans; if your coverage is through Sun Life, contact the clinic before booking.
Getting here from Markham
The clinic is at 11 Princeton Ave in east Richmond Hill, close to the Markham border. Most clients arrive in 10 to 20 minutes via Highway 404, Woodbine Avenue or Leslie Street. From Cornell or the Markham Stouffville Hospital area, Highway 407 to 404 is usually quickest in the evening.
When to see a doctor first
Acupuncture is supportive care and does not replace medical assessment. If your symptoms began with an accident, include numbness or weakness, are getting steadily worse, or you have a condition that affects treatment, please consult a qualified healthcare professional first. We are happy to coordinate with your other providers.
